Skee Mask

Friday - The Warehouse

One of the most exciting young talents to appear on the Zenker Brothers’ Ilian Tape label, Skee Mask has been capturing attention recently for jubilant excursions through jacking techno, skittery footwork and bassy ghettotech. It’s testament to his knowledge and innovation that he can manage to stitch together the most dynamic elements of breakbeat hardcore and rave revivalism without ever reducing them to clichés. His 2018 album, Compro, was lauded as one of the albums of the year by and Pitchfork, while his DJ sets have also become can’t miss outings for those with an interest in itchy, experimental techno overlaid with beautiful clangour and oceanic sub-bass. He’s kind of DJ who should excel with the high-end sonic surroundings of Junction 2’s stages.
