Margaret Dygas can be counted as one of that rare set of DJs who’ve adopted Berlin as home and then gone on to internalise the true breadth of its musical history. Through a decade of living and DJing there as both a Panorama Bar resident and a much-loved guest elsewhere, she’s built a career as someone who knows that the German capital is as much Basic Channel as it is Berghain.
Margaret regularly appears at clubs and festivals around the world, top billing with the kings and queens of deep, minimal, experimental techno. At the same time, she’s recognised as a producer with her own unique take on minimal’s glitchy grooves. The deep and dubby records and remixes she’s released via Ostgut Ton, Perlon and Rekids are further proof of a shape shifter who creates tension with the lightest of touches. A Junction 2 Saturday with Margaret promises to be one of those special Boston Manor Park memories that uncurls like smoke in the summer air.
