One thing about being a house and techno duo from an unexpected place like Sligo in Ireland is that the lack of expectation means you’re free to experiment. Without the weight of heavyweight place names like Chicago, Detroit or Berlin, Ireland’s Brame & Hamo have forged their own way and just played what they love – quality underground music.
Their sets run the range from sharp Italo to smooth house, but most frequently what you hear is darker, more propulsive electronics that move up into the intricately patterned rhythms of electro and forward-thinking techno. They’ve gained support along the way from Gerd Janson, Maceo Plex, Paul Woolford and many others, and it’s easy to see why. We think their Junction 2 set will earn them even more fans as they continue their rise.
