Maya Jane Coles is an artist who epitomises London. Her latest album, 2017’s Take Flight was an ode to the city’s diverse urban music landscape. Criss-crossing from house to ambient with flirtings of pop and knowing nods to UKG, breakbeat and indietronica. On the gig front, whether she is playing The Great Gallery at Tobacco Dock, fabric’s Room1 or Ministry’s The Box – the latter of which she recently launched polysexual, gender-fluid party HE.SHE.THEY. – she always makes it her own.

A multi-disciplinarian, encompassing DJing/producing/vocals/fashion it was always important for us to showcase the top tier of UK talent at the capital’s premier techno festival. And aside from all that, we have a long history of collaboration dating back to when she first burst onto the scene. It is for these reasons that inviting MJC to join us at Boston Manor Park for Junction 2’s third edition made perfect sense. She might just be the essential London producer of our generation.
