When we chose William Djoko as one of our residents for 2018, we did so on the grounds he was overly qualified. A resident at Amsterdam’s legendary Club Trouw before its closure, a brief stint at Printworks during Issue 001 and currently a regular at new Dam hotspot Shelter. Fair to say he knows what it means to be a resident. But it was his appearance at the first Elrow Town at Stratford’s Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park in 2017 that really heralded his arrival to UK audiences. And a vibrant, showmanic arrival at that! Safe to say the Dutchman now feels totally at home in our capital city.

To experience his set is to witness synergy. Whether in an intimate club setting, or at a vast open-air festival stage, Djoko’s boundless enthusiasm and peacock-like attitude forms a connection with the crowd. His charisma plumes like a proud, magnificent bird radiating from the DJ booth, and he is set to inject some much needed colour into proceedings at Boston Manor Park.
